What goes into the candle.
Ingredient-conscious, said plainly. The blend should be wanted first. These are the reasons the rest of the object is built this way.
Wax
Soy and coconut. Not paraffin.
Paraffin is a petroleum byproduct, and it tends to soot. Peculiar pours a soy-coconut wax instead: plant wax that holds a blend, stays put in an odd jar, and doesn’t throw the black smoke a paraffin pillar does. No parabens in the blend. The fragrance is a formula, not a preservative.
Wick
A wood wick. Nothing else in it.
Flat, natural wood. No metal core, no lead, no zinc. The flame is a little wider, which matters when the glass isn’t a perfect cylinder — a reclaimed jar rarely is. You’ll hear a soft crackle. That is the wood, not a scent trick.
Recycled
A jar of 100% recycled glass.
Used glass comes in as material and leaves as one form, every time. You see it before you buy it. When it’s empty, that glass can be recycled again.
Reclaimed
A vessel that would have been thrown out.
Reclaimed glass is the other product. Jars and bottles headed for a landfill, or left unused, cleaned and poured. Giving the vessel a new life is the point. Your exact jar stays a surprise.
Return a jar
Empty glass can come back as store credit.
Burn it, keep a little wax so the glass stays sound, and bring the vessel back. If we can give it another life, the return becomes credit on your next candle. The amount per jar is not set yet. The path is.
